Uses
Share your thoughts about topics covered in class using the Discussion button above. Start a new discussion thread.
Ask questions about topics covered in class or answer questions others might ask using the Discussion button above.
Create you own new Pages devoted to specific science topics; add pictures, videos, or informative links about your chosen topic that others might find interesting. (Note: Some video sites, such as YouTube, are filtered by the CMS server and will not appear on the wiki.)
Wiki Do's and Don't
Use only your first name and last initial (example: John D, Mary B) when posting anything on the wiki. Do not post your last name.
Always respect the opinions and contributions of others. There is no such thing as a "dumb question."
Be quick to compliment and slow to criticize. If you disagree with someone in a discussion thread, do so in a respectful manner.
Limit all discussion and posted work to science topics, whether or not they are being covered in class.
Be sure to give proper credit to any pictures or video, and describe the content of any Internet link.
Avoid using improper language or posting any improper pictures, videos, or Internet links. Students not demonstrating proper use of the wiki may have their accounts terminated.
While I appreciate curiosity and a scientific mind, avoid discussing or suggesting unapproved experiments that might prove dangerous. I would not want your idea to result in you or someone else getting hurt.
